As Easter approaches the only thing you want to be hunting for is chocolate eggs and Visit Stoke is here to make sure you don’t have to hunt for fun activities to keep the whole family entertained this Easter break. Whether you’re local or planning a visit to the area, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. From arts and crafts to baby animals, let’s explore the egg-citing line-up of events happening across the city.

The Easter Bunny himself has visited Stoke and hidden Easter eggs alongside the Apedale Valley Railway line! Head down on Easter Saturday, Sunday or Monday between 11:30am- 4:00pm. No booking required, just turn up and ride! Can you spot all of the Easter Eggs down the railway? Keep your eyes peeled because there are prizes to be won!
Enjoy endless Easter entertainment at the Emma Bridgwater Factory with a variety of family friendly activities this spring. Want to cuddle a baby chick? Of course you do. Head down on Tuesday the 2nd or Friday the 5th of April  to meet the newly hatched teeny chicks for free!
Book into the decorating studio on any day during the break to create your own unique and special design on a piece of Emma Bridgwater pottery to treasure your Easter memories forever. And while you’re there why not check out the free children’s factory trail and find all the letters to win a treat, or visit the secret garden! It’s the perfect time to visit and enjoy the spring bulbs and emerging seasonal colours.
Step into the world of ceramics at the Dudson Museum and enjoy a day filled with exciting spring family fun. A day full of fun for your budding explorers with two free, fun, fact-finding missions! Find all the eggs hidden in the centre or explore the courtyard on a self-guided story quest challenge and help the clinkers rebuild the very expensive jug they broke before time runs out! If all of that exploring works up an appetite, kids can eat free from the Easter menu in the café!
In the mood for some Easter crafts? Middleport Pottery has got you covered with a collection of activities that you can get stuck into over the holidays.
Design and create your own Easter themed floral wreath using fresh and dried foliage, flowers and Easter decorations. Don’t worry if you’re new to making wreaths, your instructor will demonstrate and talk you through the process while you put your own personal twist on it.
Prefer a keepsake that will last forever? Why not make your own porcelain Easter decorations together as a family. Get the opportunity to make a selection of decorations using spring and Easter themed templates and be shown how to decorate them with colour, textures and letters to make them personal to you!
If you really want to get stuck in and messy then the self-led Play With Clay is perfect for you. For just £3 per participant this is the perfect activity for your little ones to get messy and creative over the break.
The weather is warming and the flowers are blooming, so it’s never been a better time to enjoy the outdoors! Take a visit to the Trentham Estate and help Meryl Sheep to search through the beautiful gardens to find her lost lambs! Children will receive a free activity leaflet to fill in on the trail, but the fun doesn’t stop there… See REAL lambs being born, play on the adventure playground or take a ride on the boat or train located in the gardens.
With the collection of cafes and restaurants on the Estate, it’s the perfect location for a full day of family fun and food.
Follow the Easter Egg Trail, indulge in Easter crafts and meet Blossom & The Easter Bunny himself at Affinity Staffordshire’s Great Easter Adventure this holiday! There are prizes to be won and fun to be had over the 5th – 6th of April and all activities and events are free of charge! Don’t miss out on a free day of family festivities!
