Following an incredibly challenging 16 months, the Regent Theatre and Victoria Hall are delighted to announce that their doors will finally reopen this August!*

After closing due to the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020, the venues will reopen for the first time in over a year, safely welcoming audiences back to experience the thrill of live theatre and be entertained by some of the top names in comedy and music.

Regent TheatreFrazer Hoyle, Theatre Director at the Regent Theatre and Victoria Hall said: "I am delighted that at last, we are ready to open the doors to our beautiful venues again. I'd like to thank our customers for their continued support; we've really missed our audiences and we cannot wait to safely welcome them back to enjoy live entertainment and make special memories with us once more.

"We are set to return with a jam-packed reopening season, which kicks off with the ultimate musical classic, Grease - the Musical at the Regent Theatre. Making their Regent debuts are The Addams Family, School of Rock and Waitress before our annual pantomime, Cinderella, for the perfect and unforgettable festive treat. Of course, with every show we present we will be following the latest safety advice and guidelines to ensure continued welfare of our audiences and staff."

To celebrate the reopening, the Regent Theatre will host an official open day on Saturday 21st August, giving members of the public the chance to go on exclusive backstage tours, watch live dance performances, take part in dance and mask making workshops, enjoy refreshments and much more!

The Victoria Hall will reopen with a three day Organ Proms Festival starting on Thursday 19 August, followed by Jane McDonald on Tuesday 24 August and Ben Fogle - Tales from the Wilderness on Thursday 2 September. Over at the Regent Theatre, the list of fantastic one night shows continues with What's Love Got to Do with It? A Tribute To Tina Turner on Tuesday 24 August, shortly followed by The Chicago Blues Brothers on Friday 27 August and The Dreamboys on Saturday 28 August. Grease - the Musical will shortly follow as the first week long production at the Regent Theatre from Monday 30 August - Saturday 4 September.

"See It Safely" measures have been put into place to ensure audiences can feel comfortable and safe when they are visiting both venues. In line with up-to-date guidelines, the following precautions have been introduced including hand sanitiser stations, eTickets, contactless payments and refreshments delivered to seats.

As a thank you to the real heroes of the pandemic, the Regent Theatre & Victoria Hall, along with all other Ambassador Theatre Group venues, will be launching a brand new Local Heroes scheme, offering special ticket prices for selected shows for our blue light workers.

Returning will also be Price Promise which is Ambassador Theatre Group's commitment to ensuring there is a ticket price to suit every budget. There are a guaranteed number of £13 tickets across selected performances at the point that they go on sale.

Box Office opening hours are changing at the Regent Theatre and Victoria Hall. Box Office at both venues will only open 90 minutes prior to performances and close at the start of the show and will be closed on non-performance days.

Everyone needs the relief, escapism, stories and community that only live theatre offers, and the Regent Theatre & Victoria Hall can't wait to bring it back to Stoke-on-Trent!
