From the Sea

Join us for this free family event as we discover some creatures that live in the sea. Meet Cali and Mari two larger than life octopuses who have emerged from the ocean and are curious to explore the world around them. They have 8 arms, three hearts and are very intelligent and very friendly.
Take a look at the two metre long female grey seal that flaps her way through the museum, slapping her fins on the ground and nuzzling up to people as if they are part of a large seal colony. She can move surprisingly fast considering the blubber and emits excited snorts and seal spits of salt water.

There will also be a wide range of animals relating to rivers, ponds and oceans including frogs, toads, snapping turtles, tortoises and more.

This event is funded via the Welcome Back Fund, a European Regional Development Fund managed by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.
