Get up close and personal with dazzling items from the world's largest find of Anglo Saxon gold at the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery. The museum is offering groups the chance to experience an exclusive and intimate evening with the Staffordshire Hoard. Enjoy the glitter of ancient gold by atmospheric candlelight and discover the secrets of these historic artefacts and the latest findings.

These special evenings are also available to children's groups. Children can explore the Hoard by the light of torches and candles and hear the exciting story of how the gold was discovered and what has happened since. They will then be able to make a souvenir of the Hoard to take home and listen to the ancient Anglo-Saxon legends. They will also be able to play Hoard related games and puzzles.

These special evenings take place on Fridays (time to be arranged at time of booking). The cost is £10 per person, minimum of 20 and maximum of 30 people. The price includes a glass of wine for adults which can be sipped while listening to the exploits of Anglo-Saxon heroes and villains, and includes a free goody bag to take home for the children sessions.

This event is only available for groups/parties who must pre-book in advance. Please contact Cathy Shingler on 01782 232323 or e-mail
