This display celebrates six fabulous ladies of Stoke-on-Trent from the early twentieth century who made a difference to everyday lives. The display includes the work of ‘Meddlesome Millie’ (the Duchess of Sutherland) and the first Forces Sweetheart Gertie Gitana, the sales of whose postcards raised money to help soldiers of the First World War.
