The Village,


Middle Cottage is home from home with a wood burning stove, it is a beautiful restored cottage and own garden, set in the Staffordshire Moorlands. Endon is famous for its well which has never run dry and is celebrated every year with a Well Eressing. Endon borders the market town of Leek, the Peak District, and is also within 5 miles of Stoke-on-Trent, with museums dedicated to potters of years past - Gladstone Pottery Museum.

On our door we are within easy reach of Dove Dale, Ilam, Ashbourne and surrounding Peak District villages. For those of you with a taste of something exciting Alton Towers, Trentham Monkey Forest and Aerial Extreme based at Trentham Estate.
The National Trust features locally with Biddulph Grange, Chatsworth, Style Silk Museum, Calke Abbey, and Sudbury the Museum of Childhood and Little Morton Hall. The gardeners amongst you can visit Consall Gardens and Valley, Rode Hall Gardens - places to spend a few hours. For the railway enthusiast Foxfield, and Churnet Valley Railways are just a few miles away. Rudyard Lake was the playground of the Victorians and precious stones can be found at Castleton Blue John mine.

From the M6, junction 16, join the A500, (signposted Stoke-On-Trent). Leave the A500 to take the A53, (signposted to Leek). This road will take you through Endon. When entering Endon, go past the Plough Public House and when you get to the Black Horse Public House, turn left at the Veterinary Surgery, (signposted the Village) and to the Cottage.

Public transport is available in the nearest train station being Stoke-On-Trent and the number 18 bus service, running between Stoke-On-Trent (Hanley Bus Station) and Leek Bus Station.
