Visit Burslem the mother town of the Potteries and the birthplace of Josiah Wedgwood. Longton has a cluster of factory shops whilst Stoke is home to the Minster church where Josiah Wedgwood and Josiah Spode are both buried. Or take a drive to some of the surrounding market towns and villages.

The Staffordshire Hoard , continues to be exhibited at the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery, Stoke-on-Trent indefinately. A further 19 new items have been added bringing the total to 81 items on display. The Staffordshire Hoard is officially the most valuable treasure ever found worth £3.3million.
