Light Night
You can still see some of the fantastic illuminated Light Night art installations and enjoy the festive Christmas lights in the city centre until 6 January 2011.
Robots light the night at 35 Tontine Street. See a sparkling 3D snowy night scene created by international award winning children's illustrator and sculptor Ann Nilsen.
The 'Mechanical Handymen' are on display at 36 Piccadilly. These are a pair of life size robots made of recycled materials with mounted laser lights. One with his face up against the window and the other is standing upright and projecting a film from his head.
Tactile Light is the installation at 35 Parliament Row. This is a new digital media interative display that responds to touch and movement to create moving light and sounds.
Visit Victoria Hall so see the beautiful 3 giant lanterns created especially for Light Night in the shape of mythical beasts.
See some photographs ffrom the Light Night launch which included the switch on of the city centre Christmas lights on our Facebook page
