Water Fools is an outstanding outdoor show performed entirely on the lake at Central Forest Park. A spectacle like no other, this show sees performers walking on water, floating cars, bikes, and beds, astonishing original music and a frenzy of fireworks all combining to create a dreamlike and visually stunning performance which, for this very special evening, transforms a lake into a stage.

This park has been improved through the Greening for Growth programme with the support of Advantage West Midlands and the European Regional Development Fund. The Greening for Growth programme of environmental improvements was launched in 2003 and is the largest environmental regeneration programme in the West Midlands. Greening for Growth aims to create Well used and maintained landmark parks that offer more leisure opportunities and attract visitors to the area. A North Staffordshire network of safe, attractive off-road routes for pedestrians and cyclists. Canals, rivers and disused railways will link green spaces with homes, work places and leisure facilities, 28km of greenways will be created or upgraded. A landscape to be proud of where major transport routes and developments are set in interesting, high quality landscapes.

From City Centre, take the B5047 Town Road off the A50 Potteries Way towards Smallthorne, Central Forest Park is a short way on the left. It can easily be reached on foot from the City Centre or by one of the many buses that run along Chell Street. The park has National Cycle Network Route no. 55 running through the centre, and links with the Burslem to Cobridge greenway to the North and the NCN Route 5 to the South. There is a car park off Chell Street, by the lake.
