We have a fun Fungal Foray planned for the 4 November – a delightful afternoon walk from 1 pm – 4 pm, through the Churnet Valley part of the reserve, led by our expert, Fungal Punk Dave.

Previous knowledge not necessary, but booking is essential. It will be very steep and muddy in places, so appropriate footwear is advised. We will be meeting at Consall Nature Park a little before 1 pm.

From Leek take the A522 (Stone Rd) and follow this road out of Leek, through Cheddleton and to Wetley Rocks, turn left at petrol station and turn left again (following signs for Consall Hall Gardens).

From M6 jnt 15 or 16 follow A500 to Stoke then onto the A50 for Longton/Meir. Leave A50 at Meir onto the A520 Leek Road. Pick the A52 at Cellarhead heading for Ashbourne then A522 Wetley Rocks turning off onto Consall Lane. Follow this all the way to the site access drive.

  • This is a Nature Park in a remote rural setting and whilst every effort has been made to give good access in high use areas such as the Visitor Centre there are inevitably areas of the wider park that due to topography and ground conditions are unsuitable for wheelchair access or for people with impaired mobility.
